SANDRA LORRIANE NEWSOME

Sandra Lorraine Newsome the daughter of Gale Moten and the late Adolphus Newsone was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. God sent his angel, to escort Sandra home to her eternal rest on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

Sandra was a devoted member of Greater Bethany Baptist Church, Pastor Durrell Ward in Marlin, TX and Fresh Start Temple, Inc, in Jacksonville, FL., where she served playing the drums and ministering in song.

Sandra was known to many by her nickname “Peanut” growing up and later in life she liked to be called “Ms. Boo”. She was a loving wife to her husband and devoted mother to her children and grandchildren. She was a hard worker and loved everyone she encountered.

Sandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Tenisha Newsome; her late husband, Alvin Newsome and her father.

Sandra leaves to cherish her loving memory: her mother, Gale Moten; her beloved children, Alvin Newsome Jr., and Michael Newsome. treasured grandchild, Tamera Moten, great-grandchild; Raelyn Lorraine Moten; sisters, Tammie Jackson (Albert), Angela Moten; brothers, Micah Moten, Samuel Moten; loving nieces & nephews, Mai’ya Jackson, Malcom Jackson, Samuel Moten Jr., Aniyah Nelson, Abbie Gale Bradshaw, and countless aunts, uncle, cousins, family members and special companion David Massington of Marlin, Texas

Sandra touched the lives of many people with her vivacious personality and beautiful smile only out matched by her beautiful voice. She was a devout believer in the power and love of God.
