Service for Madeline "Mad" Pullen of Marlin, Texas formerly of San Angelo, Texas will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo.
Madeline “Mad” Pullen, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 6, 2020 in Marlin, Texas. Madeline was born December 9, 1953 in San Angelo, Texas to Charlie and Learline Williams Pullen. She grew up in San Angelo but resided in Marlin, Texas for over 30 years. During her working years, Madeline worked as the Food Service Supervisor for the Falls Community Hospital. She was a baptized believer in Christ and was a member of Upper Zion Baptist Church. In her spare time, she was a top selling Avon Representative, loved talking to family/friends on the telephone, enjoyed writing poems and fiction, collecting family pictures, playing in pool tournaments, dancing, and dressing up while accessorizing with her “dazzling” jewelry. Madeline was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers-Charles Pullen and David Pullen and 1 sister-Nancy Pullen Murphy. She leaves to mourn her loss, but celebrate her resurrection to eternal life, her daughter, Pamela Taylor (Reginal) of Waco, Texas, son David Charles Jimmy LaTray Whorton aka Scoota (Faith Crystal) of San Angelo, Texas; her grandchildren-Claudia Taylor, Kenneth-Charles Thompson, Learline Thompson, Cartie’re Thompson, Jazzmine Thomas (Nathaniel), Sanaa Whorton, Quentin Whorton; her great grandchildren-Reyna Armstead, Janyah Armstead, Paul Armstead, Jr., King Dixon, Kennedy Thompson, Kassidy Thompson; her brother, Jimmy Pullen; her sisters, Mae Ella Cummings, Irene DeVore (Franklin), Charlotte Williams (Monroe) all of San Angelo, Texas; Carolyn Greene (Everett) of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her special friends, Jewel Bradley, Ms. Betty Phillips and Fran Drake.
