Service for Fredrick "Fred" Roberts of Marlin will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 12:00 noon, Marlin Missionary Baptist Church. burial will follow at Falls County Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. for the Family. Public Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m-3:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Masks are required to enter the funeral home. Tickets will be given to the Family for the funeral at Marlin Baptist Church; Total Tickets will be 85, you must have a ticket and mask to enter the church.
Fredrick Dewayne Roberts was born August 11, 1980 to Edwina Roberts and James Heggins in Marlin, Texas.
Fred united with the Marlin Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Waylon D. Sias and remained under the leadership of Rev. Vincent Hartsfield until God called him home.
Fred received his formal education from the Marlin ISD. He worked at Sanderson Farm in Waco, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edwina Roberts, his grandparents, Cora and Edward Roberts.
On Monday July 6, 2020 God call Fred home to rest. Fred leaves to cherish his memory: the Love of His Life, Brea Nevels, of Kosse, Texas, four children, Kendra and Kendravion both of Marlin, Texas, Rylee of Kosse, Texas and Chyan Peel of Denver Colorado, two sisters, Lacaria “CC” Roberts and Jamesha Easter of Marlin, Texas, two brothers, James Bledsoe and Julius Bledsoe, two aunts, Carolyn Jackson of Houston, Texas and Hattie Nathan of Midland, Texas, two uncles, Charles (Melba) Thursby, and Robert (Delta) Thursby, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special extended family, a few he called mama, Terri, Wanda, Katherine and the Evans family all whom he loved and the ones that loved him.
